About Ana M. Marques
After studying and working on three different continents, Ana married a Kerryman and has been living with her husband and two grown-up children in County Clare since 1996.
Ana holds a Masters Degree in Linguistics, History and Geography. She has been involved in education for 30 years. Since she started her own company 15 years ago, Ana has been working with children with different degrees of learning difficulties. Her portfolio includes children as young as three and as old as 18, including Down Syndrome, AD(H)D, Asperger's Syndrome, specific and general learning difficulties. She also works part-time for the VEC.
Ana has a passion for learning and has always been interested in all kinds of approaches towards better acquisition of information. She has also worked with other areas of personal development, including the Life Path and Colour Analysis amongst others, and is a Reiki Master. Ana has been liaising with Eileen Clair since 2001. She has also given workshops and Summer courses to teachers on Learning Difficulties in the Clare Education Centre and the Adult Education Centre, and gives talks to parents on LD, bullying and study skills for children with LD. In addition, she carries out assessments to analyse students' learning profiles.
One of her passions in life is the study of colour. She wrote her first article on colour at the age of 15 while living and studying in England: "I just woke up one morning with the urge to write about the meanings of colours." A few decades later she continues to do research.
Ana takes great pride in her family, household, friends and work.
